Movie Mode
The Nikon D300 was a great camera when it was released and is essentially still a good camera today. The most obvious difference between the older D300 and it’s updated version is the video option. This is nice addition if you want to shoot video. The only drawback with it is the internal microphone picks up the noise of auto focus. You could probably get around this with an external microphone.
Other differences
The other improvements are the slightly faster continuous shooting mode 7fps with the cameras battery and 8fps with a battery grip, and the dual memory slot with a CF and SD slot.
Conclusion
This is still a great camera but with the release of the Canon 7D it’s up against some stiff competition.
